OBH has been at the forefront of academic achievement in the prep school world for 150 years, offering real challenge and opportunity for all pupils whatever their level of ability or particular area of interest. We are fortunate to enjoy a wonderful 80 acre parkland setting in the heart of East Anglia, some 20 minutes south-east of Bury St. Edmunds.
Our school ethos is built upon the the twin pillars of kindness and tolerance: all pupils are expected to pay attention to the relationships that bind us all together and to understand the concept of a global society with all that that entails. My team and I are committed to providing a creative, challenging environment for children where each individual child has the opportunity to discover and learn about how the world works and how they fit into it.
At its heart though, OBH is very much a family school. My wife, Clare, and I fully embrace the roles of pastoral care and leadership and understand the needs of modern, busy families. Please do come and visit us – we will be delighted to see you and show you more of this very special place!
