Welcome to Old Buckenham Hall
Notes from the Head’s study…
It has been a great privilege to be headmaster of Old Buckenham Hall these past four and a half years. Clare and I will miss the many friends that we have made and especially of course, the children, who we now leave in the very capable hands of my successor. Thank you for the many messages of support and best wishes that we have received – they have meant a great deal to us.
Thank you to all the teaching staff and to those who work behind the scenes in the administration, pastoral, boarding, catering, domestic and estates departments. You do a truly brilliant job and should be very proud of the contribution you make to the running of the school and to the reputation that OBH now enjoys in Suffolk and beyond.
My late father visited OBH in 2012, on the occasion of my 50th birthday! It was August, and we were blessed with a wonderfully warm and sunny day; Brettenham Park looked its magnificent best. I know that Dad was so very proud to see his eldest son and family in such beautiful surroundings as stewards of one of the country’s oldest and finest prep schools.
I will be forever grateful to OBH for that precious memory.
Clare joins me in wishing you a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous 2015.
We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere.
