Pastoral Staff
Whilst Old Buckenham Hall is committed to the boarding ethos, the duty of care does not just extend to the boarding pupils, but extends to the day children as well. They too are under the pastoral umbrella. Communication between staff is an on-going process with staff meetings every day at which information or concerns can be shared and at least two pastoral meetings a week for matronal and senior boarding staff. Staff are committed to regarding every child as an individual and staff are always available to both children and parents.
"Boarders describe good relationships with staff. They speak of being looked after and being happy at the school." OFSTED 2010

“All staff in the school, including house parents, tutors, head of department and teachers, are clear that they have a responsibility to support their pupils and devote time unstintingly to this end.
