Tutorial System

The tutor system provides a framework for promoting good relations between the staff, the pupils and parents and it should give pupils and their families a reassuring sense that a personal interest is taken in each individual.

It is intended to be helpful to the pupils, providing them with a small group to which they belong, continuity and another channel of communications. It promotes academic progress, personal development and good behaviour. Pupils in years 6, 7 and 8 are allocated a tutor and will remain with the same tutor for the rest of their time at Old Buckenham Hall. Tutors will meet formally with their tutees once a week, but informally on many other occasions.

Tutors will communicate regularly with both pastoral and academic staff about their tutees.
