A day in the life of a Pre-Prep child

8.30 am - Arrive at school
Hang up our coats.

8.45 am - Assembly
This morning we went to Junior Assembly and we saw a Year 3 class assembly all about saying ‘Thank you’.

9.00 am - Lesson 1
English today. We write a story called ‘Imagine if...’. My story is about what I’d do if I had wings!

10.00 am - Lesson 2
French is very nice because you get to learn a new language. Mr Ives is showing us how to make a French menu.

10.30 am - Break time
We go in to the Walled Garden. Break is good fun because you don’t only play with the people in your class but the ones in other classes too.

11.00 am - Lesson 3
Great! Maths is a favourite subject because you can do weighing and measuring, not only sums. Today we weighed vegetables in grams and kilograms.

12.00 pm - Lunch
Yippee! Shepherds Pie and for pudding apple crumble and custard!

1.15 pm - Lesson 4
It is art. We are designing woolly jumpers for the cold weather.

2.30 pm - Break
At
last, break!

2.45 pm - Lesson 5
We all go to the computer room with Dr Brereton. We are going to make graphs using a special program.

3.30 pm - End of School
School finishes and we go off to our ‘After School Activity’ – today it’s Kwik Cricket.
