18 March: Lord of the Dance

On Sunday, the girls glammed themselves up for a night on the town and headed to Ipswich to see the evening performance of Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance – sans Michael unfortunately. Due to it being Mothers Day, we also invited along our Mummies, so had a great turn out.  The girls weren’t quite sure what to expect, being far too young to remember Riverdance on the Eurovision Song Contest, but were pleasantly surprised. The evening was fantastic and the show even better. Lots of colour, bangs, flashes and, of course, unbelievable dancing moves. A firm favourite amongst the girls were the two women who could play electric violins, while dancing and wearing high heels- now that’s girl power!

Our ears were ringing with the sounds of taps as we left and the walk back to the coach was interesting as all tried their own Irish dance moves! We are still waiting for the phone call offering us the chance to join the show!
