4 March: OBH Bake Off

Sunday morning saw an early rise for those children who had to set off for the Oakham Tournament – this would end up to be an ill-fated move as it did nothing but rain all day but a few games of play were managed! Thanks to Mrs. Lennon for providing breakfast for the children and staff at 7:00am

Mrs. Lennon kept her chef’s hat on to cook French toast for our later, pyjama style breakfast while Miss Pugh manned the juicing machine – a great hit! The day was rather lazy to start with as we all crammed into the school room to watch a premier movie showing in the school room in pj’s before getting dressed to take part in the first part of the OBH Bake Off – baking.

The day continued with lots of other activities to keep the children amused, culminating in round 2 – decorating and round 3 – tasting! Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Brett who were faced with the difficult job of choosing the winners and well done to Spain who managed a clean sweep – Jan and Laia took the price for best overall cakes and Cristina and Anne for best individual cupcake.

A massive thank you to all the staff (academic and boarding) that were on site this weekend – lots of fun!!!
