What a fantastic first weekend back! We couldn’t have asked for better weather!
This weekend saw a group of dedicated cyclists participate in the Suffolk Historic Churches cycle ride. Our route took us to Brettenham, Thorpe Morieux, Felsham, Gedding and Rattlesden before returning to OBH. This was a great journey and the churches were very kind in providing plenty of drinks and snacks for our party.
We kicked off the evening entertainment with a traditional chip supper,(wrapped in newspaper) which had many reminiscing of holidays in Aldeburgh, . After a quick trip to Mrs Lennon’s tuck shop, the children got themselves into teams to prepare for the quiz.
Rounds included Sport, General Knowledge, TV and film music clips to name, a photo round where the children had to name to whom the picture of eyes belonged and a car badge naming round. The children all worked well in their teams and eventually we had a three way tie- break. Quiz master Mr Hayes instigated the tie break round with the final question being ‘what is the only mammal that can fly?’ Oscar Price said the answer was ‘bats’ and won the title for his team. Team member Harry Middleton had clearly strained his brain as, much to everyone else’s amusement, he said, ‘wait, what did he say? What just happened?’ So congratulations go to our winners.
We all had an enjoyable evening and thanks must go to Miss Mueller for collating the questions.
