Treasure Hunt

So after a busy and fun packed Saturday evening, the children woke leisurely on Sunday morning and enjoyed a hearty breakfast of sausages, bacon and eggs while dressed in their pyjamas.

After breakfast, some kind Year 8 volunteers helped Mrs Warren, Miss Burke and Miss Biggins put the tables back in the dining room after our fantastic Murder Mystery evening organised so ably by Miss Pugh and her helpers. The rest of the morning was spent with several children braving the cold to make dens with Mr Drake and Charlie while others chose to snuggle up in front of the fire in the Inner Hall to play different games including Articulate and our favourite game Boppit.

After a most delicious roast lunch, Capt’n Jary explained her rather wonderful pirate treasure hunt where the children in small groups had to find a selection of objects around the school including a doctor’s note and a pirate’s hat while solving a range of tricky pirate challenges. Some challenges proved trickier than others but the most challenging was finding shipmates Burke and Biggins who were hiding behind the oldest tree in the grounds.

Well done to all the teams for participating enthusiastically and certainly getting into the swing of things. Thank you to Mrs Campbell, Miss Jary, Mrs Warren, Miss Pugh, Miss Biggins, Miss Burke and Mr Journeaux. This was a super final weekend of the half term.
