Last Thursday after supper the Year 3, 4 and 5 boarders bundled into the art room and were told that we would be having an Italian evening next week and they would all be chefs and make their own pizzas.
In preparation for this the children made their own Toque’s. With great excitement on Tuesday evening the chil-dren grabs their toque’s and rolled up their sleeves to make their own pizzas- they were delicious!
Many thanks must go to our school chef Michael for all the preparation and to Miss Gee and Mrs G for the help during the pizza making.
The weekend started with a big bang with a fantastic fireworks display at OBH. We were incredibly lucky with the weather as the heavens opened as it had finished and we had just got back inside to enjoy hot chocolate and marshmallows.
On Sunday the Remembrance Service was very moving and our two readers Poppy and Rupert read superbly. Once back at school the children dressed down to enjoy the Fun Day Sunday. Parsnip soup was made with Mrs C’s new machine! Children busied themselves in the art room, a visit to the tuck shop, nails were painted and a mixed football match and squash were played. Before ending the day a very competitive boules competition was played in front of the fire in the inner hall!
