A deluge of fun and entertainment on the Saturday night was had by all after the closely fought Sports’ Day with some brilliant performances during well contested events. Karaoke skills were on show and the children performed some wonderful renditions of ‘how they were once seven years old’ and how they loved to sing about the ‘YMCA’. Arms were waving and jaws were dropping when
‘Take..some of..That’ took to the stage in the form of Mr Bunting on his acoustic guitar, Miller and Baker on baking vocals and The Headmaster rocking away up front. The boys and girls though continued to revel in their own singing which was great to see and all enjoyed a feast of pulled pork, burgers and sausages with wonderful smoothies and ice creams to follow.
Sunday arrived with parents and children playing golf and tennis. Plenty more hazards were found on the golf course and wellies were worn so that all could retrieve their balls from the lakes. The sun began to shine and the children were able to enjoy the bouncy castles before lunch. In the afternoon the Leavers’ Service at Thorpe Morieux was a fitting end to the year and canopies and drinks were enjoyed back at the school.
Well done, to all those boarders who attended the evening and we look forward to welcoming all new boarders to the boarding houses in September. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to email us at the addresses below.
Throughout the year we have enjoyed getting to know the children and planning events for them to enjoy at the weekends as well as during the week. We hope that you all enjoy the long summer holidays ahead and that you will also take the time to help out around the house so that parents can enjoy their holidays as well.
Mr and Mrs Miller and the Boarding team.
