Former teacher Jeremy Hill has passed away.

It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of Jeremy Hill on February 14th. Jeremy worked full-time at OBH from 1982 until 2011, teaching DT and, for many years, history. It is of note that of the eight Heads of OBH since 1862, Jeremy served under four of them. Countless former pupils and teachers remember him for his friendliness and kindness and also for his willingness to give of his time; he was never too busy to help someone. Our thoughts are with Penny and with sons Sam and Tim – both former OBH pupils.

All are welcome at Jeremy’s funeral, which will take place at 1pm on Tuesday 28th February in St Mary’s Church, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 1RT, and at his burial, which will be at St Mary’s Church, Brettenham, IP7 7QR. There will be refreshments at approximately 4pm at Westgate Chapel, Hospital Road, Bury St Edmunds IP33 3JT.

If anyone has any photos or memories that they would like to pass on to the family, they would be most grateful. No flowers please, but donations would be gratefully received by any of Jeremy’s preferred charities:
