March 25th, 2019:

Masquerade Ball & Egg-Stravaganza

What an evening the boys and girls had at the Masquerade Ball. They started with drinks and canapès whilst the magician per-formed wonderful card tricks. All the guests then alighted to the balcony to watch a wonderful waltz from some of the Year 7 & 8 boys and girls who added some wonderful twists and turns to the evening. Dinner was then served by Jane and Mike and the ladies who did a brilliant job all evening and must be commended for their efforts. After dinner the Auction prizes were unravelled before the magician performed on the stage to everyone’s astonishment. The children then had a wonderful disco during which they indulged in a magnificent chocolate fountain. The top ten tunes rang out and all had a wonderful evening.

Sunday dawned and the boys and girls enjoyed pancake making, hunting and decorating Easter eggs before settling down for the evening and an early night. Thank you to all the boys and girls and staff who made the weekend so enjoyable.

OBH Mud Run

The school will be holding its first ever ‘Mud Run’ for all of the children in Years 3 – 8 on Wednesday, 27 March. It is in the calendar for Years 5 -8 but such has been the excitement and sense of anticipation surrounding this inaugural event it is only fair that the opportunity to take part should be extended to Years 3 and 4. The children will need to bring in old clothes, long tops and bottoms, to wear over the course. These clothes should be brought in a large plastic bag which in turn can used to send home what will no doubt be some rather grubby items.
