OBH Awarded Suffolk LTA School of the Year

Old Buckenham Hall has been awarded the prestigious title of LTA School of the Year for Suffolk.

OBH’s tennis programme is unrivalled in the area and has gone from strength to strength under Matthew Perry and his talented team of coaches.

Over 50% of pupils play Tennis, from Nursery through to Year 8, either via one to one coaching throughout the school day or in regular matches and festivals throughout the year.

Headmaster James Large is thrilled with the well-deserved accolade – ‘It is wonderful to see Matthew and his team celebrated for the amazing work they do every year. Tennis is one of our national sports and it is lovely to see so many children developing a genuine love for the sport.’

Old Buckenham Hall is one of the country’s leading co-educational day and boarding schools for children aged 2-13 years. It offers the highest academic standards and unrivalled co-curricular opportunities, all underpinned by exceptional pastoral care. Based in 90 acres of idyllic Suffolk countryside, it is a very special environment for children to begin their educational journeys.

Sport at the school has undergone significant development in recent months, overseen by new Director of Sport, Kingsley Went. The school has recently been crowned County Hockey Champions and IAPS swimming champions among many other accolades. OBH hosts major U11 and U13 Festivals every term and many other standalone events such as the upcoming East Anglian Prep Schools Cross-Country Championships.
